ECS GUIs actually work really well if you don't try to cram all data editing into the GUI. If you build Unix philosophy style programs, most of the editing can be done in human readable text files with a good text editor and a LLM tool like Claude Code. If you know what you are doing this is MUCH easier to automate, plus more ergonomic and enjoyable than using an application that forces everything into the GUI.
