The room was absolutely packed at my book launch - I was so, so touched!🥹 Here’s one last photo of me posing with Rustlings. Truly felt like an author in that moment. Thank you again @ToppingsEdin for hosting me!

As we diligently labor in the service of God’s Kingdom, let us be neither hasty nor superficial. Let us dig deep, unhindered by worldly criteria, which too often demand immediate results and disregard the wisdom of waiting.

The world needs honest and courageous entrepreneurs and communicators who care for the common good. We sometimes hear the saying: “Business is business!” In reality, it is not so. No one is absorbed by an organization to the point of becoming a mere cog or a simple function. Nor can there be true humanism without a critical sense, without the courage to ask questions: "Where are we going? For whom and for what are we working? How are we making the world a better place?"
Arguably we should de-check-boxify other parts of our life as well. I suspect that when something is right for us, truly right, we are defeated by its immense certainty; the anxious impulse to atomise won’t exist. Decision matrixes are worthless, seek defeat and its afterglow.
I think smart people use checkboxes for romance because it’s worked for everything else (school, career, fitness) yet the entire effect of desire, Eros, is to be undone by the agony and ecstasy of encountering the Other, it’s to forget that there were checkboxes at all

It’s really sad, the average vizier only knows about 34% of the total secret passageways in any palace. If you’re onboarding into a new sultan’s retinue I would recommend as a first course of action the comprehensive mapping of as many subterranean tunnel systems as you can

relationships are hyperstitious in the sense that the relationship itself is a living organism, a gestalt of the two people in it. to some extent, the aliveness of the relationship depends on how much each person has to deaden parts of themselves in order to ensure the survival and continuity of the relationship. which is why relationships are so hard to “end”—even a half-alive organism is still alive! people intuitively understand it’s cruel to kill a living creature, even if ensuring its continuation means numbing out vital parts of the self. and of course relationships can change instead of die, but change itself is a form of death

This is romantic love. You are merging. A *new entity* is created by your overlap. Much romantic drama is explained by the survival needs of this entity. It has its own mind that must be maintained through regularity/proximity/ritual conditions

still mindblowing pa rin para sakin na there was a time na ang mga kasuotan na may ganitong halos magkapareho na silhouette (maliban sa ilang mga pagkakaiba kagaya ng saya de cola at additional embellishments) ay ginagamit nila para sa iba't ibang mga aktibidad at sa araw-araw
