You are focused on something. It's a truism you cannot not be focused :) So long as your brain is functioning it is focusing on something. Is it focused on the right things? Are you in control of where your brain is focused? How can you focus better?

Remember... Focus is your superpower. You can't cut through steel or x-ray with those eyes but they are just as super at achieving everything in your life. Stay focused on your outcome, focused on your process, focused on thinking and feeling best and taking best actions.

This chart can transform your life! If you're struggling to get yourself taking action. Or you're feeling stuck. Or you're over-thinking. Check it out, look carefully, see how you can use this. Wish I'd found this a decade sooner because it would have saved me countless hours and struggle. Still remember the night I found this book unbelievably on a sidewalk sale here in New York City. Randomly walking by I picked it up because of the cover. But it wasn't until a couple days later I saw this Magical Triangle. All the years reading about these topics suddenly made sense. I'd just wanted the solutions. But reading thousands of self-help books I was over-whelmed with millions and millions of mostly same ideas. This is a problem with all topics of personal development. There's so much information you can struggle to find the actual solutions you need and can put to work right away. Like millions of books and programs and writings on losing weight, when what you need is an actual way to get yourself doing the things you know to do! But how do you actually do it? When you're feeling stuck in your goals. When you don't know what to do or how to do it or can't get yourself doing it... how do you? How do you get yourself unstuck? Look at this chart and what do you see? Simplicity. You see your thoughts drive your feelings drive your actions... round and round again. And look what you find in the center: Will-power. The power of this chart is seeing your solution is this simple. Now, just coz it's simple doesn't mean it's easy. Like changing a habit can be hard, you know will-power is depleting. Yet if you're feeling stuck you see here a simple way to keep yourself moving: • Do you need to change your thoughts? How, exactly!? • Is it best to start by changing how you feel, like exercising. • How about taking an action like eating that frog and building momentum? Again, still doesn't make it easy to do but just seeing this simply can transform your life 🚀

"You feel your best by feeling your best!" Do you see my point here? It's not cryptic, but literal. How are you different feeling your best? Are you happier? Performing better? Winning more? Let's go deeper into this because it changes everything. First of all if you're not feeling your best... Ask yourself: Why would you change something outside of you for feeling different inside? It's like painting your house red outside trying to feel warmer inside. To change how you feel inside, change how you feel inside! Why is it "rational" to think any other way? When you stop believing how you feel inside is based on things outside of you, now you're free. You're free to feel how you want, at will. You see that brain of yours is constantly scanning the world for what's missing. It's a survival machine, it's keeping you alive. Scanning for threats and opportunities, believing this is why you feel how you do. e.g. I will feel better when I get X problem behind me e.g. I will feel better when I have more Y e.g. I will feel better if Z thing in the world was different It all makes sense... to that brain. The body is feeling less than 100%, the brain believing if some thing changed it would feel more 100%. And it might be right. When you get X problem behind you. When you have more of Y. When Z in the world is different... Change these things and you will likely feel better. But, for how long? Because you can look back and see in your lifetime you have put plenty of problems behind you. You have gotten more Y. Z changes you wanted to see in the world have happened. How long did you feel fulfilled? Or is it more like the new car or shoe smell wears off and now your brain is seeking that next thing to feel how you want? So long as you are filling yourself up with things outside of you, this is how it will always be: 1. You're feeling lack (because the body is a survival machine and brain has a negativity bias) 2. The brain spins up believing some thing outside of you needs to change so you feel better. You do things to have it change. 3. If you succeed you feel more full for a bit... then you revert back to your old lacking way of feeling. Or you can see you feel your best by feeling your best. And train yourself for feeling your best!
Are you feeling your best? Does it matter to you? Do you believe you can feel your best or do you believe how you feel depends on what you achieve? A most important belief I live is feeling your best now creates your best future. At a Newtonian level it's your best mind -> actions -> results, quantum level your mind is the game. Not saying it's true. But what you believe is true for you and this belief "tricked" me into feeling my best now. Because I believe feeling your best now creates your best future I needed to figure out exactly how. Before this I believed when you get what you want you feel how you want. But you know from getting plenty of what you want in your life what happens, don't you? Get what you want, feel how you want... for a bit. Then that body and brain of yours reverts back to its old lacking way now thinking you need some next thing to feel how you want. This is the hedonic treadmill in psychology, in our school of transformation, the Getting There Program. It's a program running in your brain that makes you think feeling your best comes from getting that next. Your brain is mistaken. You feel your best by feeling your best! And you only ever feel your best now. You never feel anything in the future. Every feeling you have is now. This is why believing feeling your best now as secret to creating your best future is a wonderful way of training yourself to be feeling your best now. Still, believing this isn't enough. You need to know exactly how you get yourself thinking and feeling your best right now. This takes will and skill of think and feel.

I had a chaotic day yesterday and didn't get enough done. Reminder to keep it simple. Stay on protocol. Keep doing your best every day. You never achieve your goals in one day, just stack up your best day after day. What takes you to a personal best today?

My best days are scheming and dreaming. Surround yourself with people who think about what is possible and together scheme and dream too. This is power of the mastermind. Bringing together minds fixated on one target you create something more than each of you. Walking down through the west village to soho we did this today hanging out along the way. We're moving things forward together. Figuring things out along the way. Walking, scheming, dreaming. Happy Sunday 😎

I'm obsessed with simulation. But different to how you see it talked about. Like here you see scientists are grasping at more straws this time around gravity to "prove" our universe may be a simulation. It's fascinating theory to some. Waste of time theory on theory to me. Because like Peter is asking here, who cares? Even if you're in simulation, why care? How would you live differently? Well, this is where I've been obsessed with simulation for decades. At first I saw simulation like this broader topic of singularity and reality construction and knowing the nature of reality, etc. But then I saw something so simple, mind-blowing, practical. All that is misdirection, just theory. It is looking outside of you to theorize some type of simulation. But once you see the obvious truth you will never unsee. It's not whether we "live in" simulation, it's obviously true the simulation lives in you. The simulation is inside your brain. And you can prove it to yourself simply. Imagine walking through your home... your brain is simulating just like it can simulate you walking on the moon. Think about a situation, any situation, and your brain has some simulated story on it. Like someone doesn't respond to your email, your brain has a story of what it means, whether it's true. Same with thinking about your past and future. You "re-member" the past every time, your brain never has perfect recall, it is simulating that event now. Same with your future. Your brain can simulate infinite futures, can't it? So if you're gonna go down the rabbit hole of this simulation topic, start here. Inside your simulating brain. Learn to best operate this simulating machine in your own head and it may even reveal the entire game!
YES, obviously, we are living in a simulation, but what will you differently now that you know that???

"How much do you want it?" That's the question he asked back. I'll always remember this conversation because of the way he said it so casually. We were standing around in a shooting bay in the desert outside of Las Vegas. A group of business leaders with a few Navy SEALs we were starting a business with. One of my buddies asked a common question. We all know how grueling SEAL training is reputed to be and he wanted to know... "What makes the difference between those who make it through and those who quit?" What do you think the retired SEAL said? Are those who make it through stronger or fitter or more skilled or have more grit? "Maybe they didn't want it enough," he said. With zero bravado in his voice and much respect for those who drop out because how many of us could keep going in those hellish conditions? Just him saying, "How much do you want it?"

Stay relentless. Never let up, even for a minute. I know this is un-PC and people talk about balance and I agree, you must know what matters most to you. What matters most to me is being relentless. If there are things you're focused on that demand your absolute best you must stay relentless. The cost of backing off is too high. Your opportunity cost even higher. It's like decades ago in university I saw every second I wasn't studying as wasting my life, risking it all. Never gonna say this was "reasonable" but it was unreasonable for me to give any less. That meant an average job, like Big 4 auditing. I never went to university for an average job, I went because I saw a path to my absolute best job, absolute best life. From where I started in life it was a gift I'd never waste. Those years in university were fun for me, just fun in a different way to many. My fun rarely came from hanging out doing "fun things," like drinking and partying and I'm the same way today. Most fun for me is being relentless. This landed me 3 best jobs I could have gotten out of university and set my life on an entirely incredible trajectory. It was never a "sacrifice that was all worth it in the end because I got the results..." No, it was my greatest pleasure being relentless driving my absolute best performing and winning. Decades later I still live the same. It's how I've built everything my life became. Things I'm focused on demand my absolute best and every second I'm striving to deliver. The cost of failure is way too high. Rewards of conquering, limitless. But by far the greatest reward is the feeling you get playing at the top of your game driving forward with all your power. Stay relentless 👊
