⚙️ @helikonlabs is upping its validator and infrastructure game. All nodes in the validator array are being upgraded with 5600 MT/s DDR5 memory modules. Next, they'll be connected through a 25G intranet switch and a 100G edge router, separate from the current infrastructure for maximum network performance. The RPC and application server infrastructure is also being upgraded with more memory+storage, an improved network topology, and ongoing security audits. Next in line: a second installation in another Istanbul-based data center for greater redundancy and resilience.

📢 dv.report has been updated for Decentralized Voices Cohort V, including a number of UI improvements. Data can now be filtered by cohort, network, delegate type (DAO/Light), and referendum track & status. 💭 Early data shows high-participation voters, and the exchanges between the delegates so far have been very engaging. Grateful to @Web3foundation (@BillLaboon, @0xZendetta) for bringing together such an exciting group of contributors, and thank you to all delegates for participating in the cohort. ℹ️ I've been working on the finishing touches on a number of other software releases. Submerge Progress Report #2 is available at submerge.io/progress/2025_06…. There is a delay, but I'm working to deliver M1 and M2 together, something I've done successfully with several other @helikonlabs projects before. As a note, there hasn't been a single project of mine, whether on a private or public calendar, that was delivered exactly on schedule. It just happens. Submerge is my most ambitious project so far, with 10 components: Crystal, Fractal, Bloom, Mycelium, Cortex, Reflex, Sentinel, Auth3, API, and the web application. We’ll start seeing the fruits of this work very soon. Thank you to everyone who has been asking about the project's status, and for your patience.

ℹ️ This is regarding Polkadot Referendum 1586 by @MerkleScience, who, in their proposal document, wrote that they are collaborating with me on Submerge. I want to make it clear that @helikonlabs is just a paying customer of @MerkleScience APIs, used in the security component of Submerge called Sentinel, whose API and source code will be released soon. My last contact with @MerkleScience was back in February, and it didn't go beyond signing standard agreements and setting up API keys. @helikonlabs is not "collaborating" with them, but simply leveraging their APIs as a regular customer, that's all. For this reason, I find the statement in the document partly misleading, and I kindly ask @MerkleScience to correct it. I don’t rule out a future collaboration, but that simply isn’t the case at the moment. Many thanks to @saxemberg for pointing it out, and also to @IndikoJohansen for the notice.

The beasts have arrived: 128 cores / 256 threads @ 3.25GHz across 4 CPUs, 2TB DDR5 RAM, and 123.4TB NVMe storage. These two will be dedicated solely to #Submerge deployment, so far carried out on cloud VMs. More racks are on the way to expand the @helikonlabs infrastructure. ⚡️

Recently ordered two new high-grade servers and a router/firewall that'll more than double the compute+storage power of @helikonlabs' previous (pics below) infrastructure in İstanbul. Capacity has roughly doubled every year since late 2020, when it all started in my office with a Dell T40 mini-server.

I'm very excited to announce that, in light of recent developments between #Polkadot and #Cardano, @helikonlabs has applied to participate in the Cardano Project Catalyst Fund13. #SubVT is expanding to Cardano, bringing major upgrades that will benefit both the Cardano and Polkadot ecosystems. I have no doubt that this new technical perspective will improve #SubVT greatly. #SubVT will be the first open-source project of its kind in serving both ecosystems, continuing the tradition of exchanging ideas between these two networks.
