Because there is a housing shortage in desirable areas, all it will do is allow people to bid up prices in those areas. Buyers don't need a 50-year mortgage to afford a home in Youngstown or Detroit.

This will destroy housing. It wouls be like a 12 year car loan. A $500k loan paid off over 50 years would be millions
