in his defense a few years ago I talked to a guy I was VERY into for hours just assuming he wasn’t interested. at the end of the night he said “I’m going home, you coming?” and I said “oh is there an after party?” i’ll never forget the look he gave me I think I broke his brain

This tweet isn't going to help because the issue isn't lack of awareness. It's lack of experience. The experienced men will likely agree with you, but the inexperienced men will continue to make these mistakes unwittingly due to a lack of familiarity with the opposite sex. In the absence of instinct, these men defer to logic. And logically speaking: there are many reasons that don't involve romantic interest for why a woman would talk to you for two hours.

Good men hold a belief that no one wants them/is interested, until/unless they explicitly say so. We need to be like this by default. It is a sort of defense mechanism for the 19 out of 20 times you will be rejected, shield against embarrassment disappointment etc, but it’s also a favor to the ladies because most lovely women get more attention than they want. So we will not be piling on until you say we should.
