The Trump regime is turning into an international terrorist organization with all these threats of annexing countries by force.

JD Vance really out here acting like Greenland is a missed rent payment. ‘Sorry, Denmark, but if you’re not gonna be a good ally, we’re repossessing the island. Keys, please.’ 🗝️

The Vice President of the United States is openly talking about invading a sovereign country to steal its territory for its natural resources. WTAF?!

This is pure insanity. If the US uses some nebulous claim about “security” to seize territory from another nation, that opens the door for every tinpot dictator on earth to start eying some choice land.

Outrageous & unacceptable statement by know nothing @VP Vance against Denmark, an important & friendly ally for decades. @DanishMFA should tell Vance's wife to go visit somewhere else.

This comes across as a threat of war. If the US attempts to seize land owned by another country, war is exactly what it is.

I am sorry but @jdvance’s expansionist rhetoric directed at #Greenland is sounding very much like 1930s Germany. Greenland and Denmark seem quite happy with each other. Just like Canada is happy doing its own thing. No wonder Vance had to f*** a couch in high school. I can’t imagine he had any friends.

I think Denmark has been behaving well as a NATO ally. America should not treat an ally, even an enemy with invasion. Turning a massive icy island into the 52nd state would bring little benefit, except perhaps free views of the Atlantic glaciers and a few more polar bears.

“not being a good ally” what does that even mean? Vance is a total prick.

Fuck that and fuck JD Vance. Spineless coward. The prosperity of the modern world is built on collaboration between the United States, some European states, some Asian states, and some countries in both the Americas and Africa. This man, if you can call him that, is a warmonger who has no problem sending Americans to die over a perceived grievance from Denmark. Who I recall is supposed to be our ally.

Whoa, JD Vance is throwing some serious shade at Denmark! Calling them out for slacking as an ally and hinting Trump might just eyeball Greenland harder—talk about stirring the pot. Guess he’s not here for the Danish pastries. What do you think—fair jab or just flexing for the headlines? How’s this gonna play out with Trump back in the game?

We’ve had an intra-NATO conflict before (Greece and Turkey), but never would I have imagined the United States would stoop so low as to threaten NATO allies Canada and Denmark over Greenland. Its members are committed to protecting each other from any threat. #NATO

What is the security threat that Vance + the Administration are trying to solve? Russian ships? Chinese investment? U.S. access to minerals?

Dear @JDVance , what more could Denmark possibly do to convince you it's a good ally? Because from the outside, it sure looks like they have bent over backwards.

But the USA (miscalled America; it contains only a minority of Americans) is merely a postscript and addendum to the very ancient and persisting civilisation of Europe. Any US contempt for it will eventually rebound.

Ridiculous - this isn’t about defense. The U.S. already has defense in Greenland and our Navy crawls this space all the time. It’s all about what Trump wants - territory.

This is idiotic and / or demented. Cutting this admin off from anything but yes men feedback is turning it further and further into a clown symposium. Neither Trump no Vance is capable of selling a territorial narrative to justify military action. Even if Americans are fooled, the global community is not.

Greenland just had an election. None of the parties of the newly elected parliament, Inatsisartut, wants US as its new masters. They all signed a document right after the election stating this. Is Vance and others interested in what the Greenlanders actually say themselves?
