Yesterday, Thursday 6th November, in my continued commitment to investing in our nation’s health and education sectors, and in pulling people out of poverty, I visited Our Lady of Lourdes College of Nursing Sciences, Ihiala, Anambra State, where I interacted with the students and staff. I encouraged the students to remain steadfast, disciplined, and compassionate in their pursuit of knowledge and service to humanity. Their dedication and passion for learning were truly inspiring.
To support the institution’s ongoing efforts in training competent healthcare professionals who continue to play vital roles in strengthening the health sector of our dear nation, I made a humble donation of ₦15 million to the institution.
I went around the premises, and I was reminded of how we started with the construction of some of the existing structures in the institution, under the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) programme and anchored on the Anambra Integrated Development Strategy (ANIDS). It was gratifying to see that those investments I made have continued to impact lives positively over the years.
Our journey toward a better Nigeria must be built on education, healthcare, and pulling our people out of poverty for us to succeed.
