Erik has joined our team as a Founding Engineer! He's a Berkeley grad and has spent 10+ years in the Bay Area. At Affirm, Erik was a Staff Software Engineer leading the risk and fraud team (the hardest part of fintech). He also spearheaded a side project that now generates over $20M+ in ARR. Most recently, Erik worked as a Senior Staff Engineer at Settle. When the SVB crisis hit, he worked 24/7 for 10 days to completely rebuild Settle's compliance engine and ensure a smooth transition to a new bank (including a 3 million line code review at 1 AM).
