Great conversation with H.E. Hind Kabawat, Minister of Social Affairs and Labour of Syria @SyMOSAAL . Women's participation and strong civil society are key for the transition and her role is of vital importance in the New Syria.

🔹 The EU, as a long-standing partner, is ready to support Syria on its democratic transition
🔹 Democracy requires accountability for ALL crimes, with no impunity. Focusing on the missing must be a priority
🔹 The transition must guarantee the inclusion and participation of the diverse syrian population which coexist in Syria including women
🔹 The humanitarian crisis is dire. The EU response on humanitarian aid is firm and will keep helping the ones who need the most
🔹 Territorial integrity is essential to guarantee peace
