It's official. The House will be out again next week. That will make 20 work days in 19 weeks.

They already voted to pass the CR. There is no need to be in DC. They are home in there own states talking to constituents

Excellent! As expected. Well done, Speaker Johnson.
On top of that, it looks like Trump doesn’t want the shutdown to end. He wants to rule without interference.

Still getting paid
Replying to @jamiedupree
Blame the Ds, they're the ones not funding govt.
Replying to @jamiedupree
You think they are going to come back the next week to pass another CR? Or are they going to say that the Senate has to pass the one that expires on the 21st, before they pass another?
Replying to @jamiedupree
the heat death of the universe will come before Johnson votes on the epstein files

AWOL @SpeakerJohnson & the Republican led US House has been on PAID VACATION for 49 consecutive days. US Representatives receive a taxpayer funded salary of $174,000 and high quality, on demand healthcare at minimal cost.

What are we paying them for?
Fairly sure in a effort to give Trump unlimited power, Mike intends to keep the House adjourned forever

TBH they were going to be out Monday and Tuesday for the holiday. They need to be working on funding bills. The thought was they could have had some of them passed by the end of the 7 week CR.
And taxpayers are paying for it

Time to expel all of them ! They’re getting paid for doing nothing!
Replying to @jamiedupree
If Congress didn’t get paid during a shutdown they wouldn’t last nearly as long.

And I thought Republicans valued an honest day's wage for an honest day of work... Just kidding they support a $7.25 an hour minimum wage!
Replying to @jamiedupree
They should all be fired.

Stop paying them. Give us their medical insurance.
Replying to @jamiedupree
is there a provision in the rules that allows the BODY to call House into session AND suspend/replace the Speaker?

@SpeakerJohnson is covering this up.

And I wonder how many won't be able to get back to DC, due to the restricted flight schedules nationwide.🤔

The Republican House should resign enmass since they are unwilling to do their job. At the very least, @SpeakerJohnson should resign for failing to reconvene.
