Feb 19 at MKM Stadium in Hull, bring it on
I’m praying the World Club Challenge goes ahead next year. Brisbane v Hull KR would be an absolute blast, and completely no clue who wins it. I’d say there’s no chance whatsoever that the game will be played in Australia, so the Broncos would have to travel to the UK. Please!

Terrified that Stranger Things is going to end with a big reveal of ‘none of this actually happened, it was just one big game of D&D in the basement’. Praying my gut is wrong 🫠
SHAWN LEVY RECAP: -Finn and Noah specifically have to carry a lot of emotional weight this season -the last scene he directed this season was set in the Wheeler basement -"At the end of the day, it's a coming of age story from the heart, for the heart" YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME
Horror start for the Bunnies… now where will Alex Johnston break the record if not Accor Stadium?

Just a reminder, your favourite NRL team was probably dismantled by Gehamet ShibaSonic in 2025.

where are my matt srama fans
the most fun thing you can do as a sports fan is have a truly mediocre athlete that you would die defending
A lot of driving forces for Samoa in that game, but Blaize Talagi and Junior Paulo were the two standouts for me. Paulo wound the clock back, his ball-playing and second-phase play slammed the door on Tonga, not to mention his physicality. Blaize? Penrith fans should be excited

It looks like one of the generic logos on Rugby League 26.

Matt Dufty spent the backend of the season playing for Warrington’s reserve grade side.

I’ve heard rumblings a rival Sydney club is ready to make a big play at Garrick for 2027 - and potentially earlier. Hinges on a few other dominoes to fall, but don’t be shocked if Reuben puts pen to paper before New Years. It would likely signal a permanent return to the wing.
Manly News: - Reports indicate Tolutau Koula has an option in his favour for the 2027 season, which means he could sign with a rival club from November 1st this year. - Reuben Garrick and the Sea Eagles have reportedly been unable to come to an agreement regarding a contract extension. It's understood he intends to test himself on the open market. (DT)

I didn’t realise until now that Deine Mariner wasn’t eligible to play for Queensland. The back was pencilled in as my bolter for next year’s series after being the standout winger in the finals this year. He should be on a wing for Samoa opposite Brian To’o this month. #NRL

An absolute must sign for the Broncos I think. The one area they are really short depth wise is the back-row, specially the edges. Piakura and Riki will keep their spot without doubt but if one goes down, it gets thin very fast. JetSki a must sign
Jack Gosiewski is a premiership winning player without a deal for next season 🚨 The Broncos would like to keep him but a salary cap squeeze could force him out... PLAYERS WITHOUT A DEAL IN 2026 👉bit.ly/4nJUv7a
Josh Hannay’s real challenge is how and where he plays Keano Kini, Jayden Campbell and AJ Brimson. Brimson can’t be wasted in the centres. Throw in Lachlan Ilias’ imminent arrival as well, the spine is a puzzle. I don’t think a 6. Brimson 7. Campbell halves combo works.
Alofiana Khan-Pereira has signed a two-year deal with the Warriors from 2026–27, joining from the Titans. (DT) New Titans coach Josh Hannay continues to clear cap space and will look to reshape the roster in his vision, similar to what Jason Ryles did last year — with David Fifita expected to move on, Carter Gordon already released, Reagan Campbell-Gillard bound for London, Brian Kelly is free to leave and Phillip Sami in talks with the Dragons.

Don’t let that take anything away from Brisbane - the form team of the last eight weeks and the better team on Sunday. But I’d argue, especially with hindsight re the injuries suffered, they don’t win Sunday without Ezra.

This is where the ripple effect sits. The NRL were fairly lenient with Ezra’s punishment, just nine weeks, Radley and the Foxx copped worse punishments for lesser crimes. And that leniency on Mam has ended up deciding the premiership. Shows how big these calls are from the NRL

Penrith fans: I’ll be humble when our streak ends, and celebrate our dynasty Also Penrith fans:
08/10/2025 10.43am The Bronco is not going back to back The form team at the right time, won the premiership Not the best team You’d have to be very lucky for that to fall your way, two years in a row Enjoy the one in a row 👍
In another blow for the Knights’ NRLW side, it appears Sheridan Gallagher is leaving the club. The winger, who spent last off-season playing for the Jets in the women’s A-League, is expected to join Canberra. Huge blow for the club, especially with Jesse Southwell’s departure.

This decision will haunt Souths for decades, and rightfully so. They kicked a loyal clubman, the club’s all-time leading point-scorer, out the back door by refusing to offer a second year. Reyno certainly deserved this premiership ring. Fans won’t forgive it until they win 22.

Across 15 meetings, tonight was just the third time Michael Maguire has beaten Craig Bellamy in his career. Two of those three wins came as underdogs in the finals. There’ll be many deleting old tweets about the head coach tonight, what an outstanding 18 months for Madge. #NRL
