women long for kindness, morality, and goodness, and are capable of finding that inside a monster because they understand what it’s like to be perceived and valued based only on what you look like

I wish this were true, but it's not.

Except it's not really ABOUT looks, is it? Because the looks are a metaphor. The monster with inner beauty represents all men and maleness in general, and how men can seem threatening and emotionally distant, but women both find the danger exciting and want to pierce that shell. It's a female fantasy story that covers eveything from Pride and Prejudice to Jane Eyre to Twilight and The Shape of Water. Inserting that into Frankenstein is something I dont agree with.

this is such a beautiful take on the film. its not about what others see but about seeing the humanity in everyone regardless of how they appear

Its not just about looks. People are inherently good.

Agree. There’s a depth to empathy and understanding that comes from lived experience, and women often see beyond the surface because they know what it feels like to be reduced to appearances.

How wonderfully accurate. Then by comparison are men perceived and valued based on the monetary worth of their knowledge or skills?

Ha, ha, good joke.

Women are very imaginative and full of kindness and love.

Just a quick fun fact, I have been told on literally multiple occasions by women that I will never be loved simply because of my height, a product of genetics that I can't change about myself. But yeah, appearances sure don't matter to them.

Most women I’ve ever encountered choose the abusive guy over the one that has a good heart , it’s definitely not true that they long for kindness , they long for a passion project they can change into a good guy

That's a really deep take. Guess it's about lookin beyond the surface, innit?

As long as the monsters are built like Olympic swimmers

No. It's because women are attracted to violent, aggressive men and contradictorily they want the aggressive, violent man to be nice to them. Women do not have empathy.

Oh, the Feminist comment on movies going on and on with putting women as victims when they are the most privileged being in the world. Let's go again. Elizabeth just looked at him and expected everyone to say shit like yours: "oh look how I pity him. I'm better than men because I'm a woman booooo". Now the one who really educated him and taught him how to speak other than his name was a MAN, the old one. Catch that one, Feminist boring cunt. Frankenstein is about fathers and sons. Stop making everything about women and their airs of victims to conceal their privileges at the expenses of men that they are enjoying since the beginning of time.

That made zero sense. Pretty women loving ugly men or monsters is a fantasy created by fat or ugly directors or writers. If I don’t comb my hair perfectly a woman will try to fix it.

This is why men crying theyre lonely is ridiculous. You dont need to be a 10 as a man to have a gorgeous woman. Just be a decent caring person, but apparently thats too much to ask for 😑

You....you know we've seen women's social media posts...right? Like we know how yall treated fat men trying to get in on that body positivity shit. We know how you treat 8 year old boys staying with their mommas in abuse centers. Like, you trying to pull this fairer sex shit in the big 25?

Exactly—that’s such a powerful insight. Women’s empathy allows them to see beyond appearances, recognizing inner goodness even in those society labels as monstrous.

Romance books are a multi-billion dollar industry. Dark romance is disturbingly popular, and they don’t want the men in their books kind, moral and good lol.

yea and real life proves that men dont change especially when a woman wants to love him back to normal. men are retarded and will stay retarded until they hit rock bottom. not when a damsel comes around.

This is why women write love letters to serial killers, and don’t follow their instincts when a big scary guy gets in the elevator with them (and rapes them).

I think it can be Interpreted as irresponsible and selfish to have a relationship with a beast; I get vague Eve-in-God's-Eden vibes. But also I agree - females are less concerned with the physical "prize", and earlier, women were expected to value status; this = forbidden love.

THANK YOU! Too often beauty and the beast esque stories get twisted into women wanting unattractive (sometimes abusive) men because they see they have potential for good inside. NO! It’s because looks are less important than character, but god forbid a man figure that out
