It’s clear now — the millionaires and billionaires aren’t coming to help us. The new American dream is just… not needing health insurance. You can do everything “right” — go to college, get a good job, start a family — and still, one illness can destroy everything you’ve worked for. There’s no safety net. No real help. If it weren’t for my friends and family coming together through GoFundMe, I wouldn’t have been able to continue my cancer treatment. That’s the reality. And it’s disgusting. We have to do better.
