x.com/HAL2400AI/status/19852… Holy moly, a playthrough video of a fictional game called "Chihiro's Adventure" using AI. Jensen Huang said games will be prompted in the future; he is right.

AIで「千尋の冒険」っていう架空のゲームのプレイ動画を作ってみた。 自分が遊びたい世界を、30分で形にできる。ほんとAIの魔法だと思う。

@grok what percentage of this AI generated?

Will it be possible to generate frame by frame at this level on the fly ? feels far away

It’s not an AI game, it’s an AI generated video depicting an AI game.

Im still confused how a fully prompted game will maintain coherence or have any thematic/authorial weight.

It doesn’t even look good, and it’s not a real video game, it’s just an AI generated clip. You can’t build an actual game out of a video predictor, and Genie 3 isn’t any different.

Unbelievable what AI is capable of these days. Just to give a deeper example, rigging models used to take ages. And now you see a fully functional world with smooth character movements and stunning graphics on top.

Purely AI-prompted videogames will never exist because AI uses code from other games to generate a new "game".. but at best, it'll create something it thinks humans will like and at worst, it'll create something that is an imitation of various already existing games. Where AI will disrupt gaming is replacing artists and voice actors and allowing devs to work more efficiently.

Getting close to true disruption. Hang on.

Does prompting a game feel more like playing or like being a director who never gets to touch the controller?
Replying to @kimmonismus
People say there's no use for this, but any TV show that has a video game on a TV screen for about 4 seconds will end up using this immediately.

This is crazy, but honestly? i like it, creativity could peak here

It's disjointed video. We are nowhere near AI generating meaningful gameplay.

i don't understand why anyone would want a game to be "generated" by AI

AI world models like Genie 3 will make this a reality

Very wonky and nonsensical still, probably the biggest roadblock left is making things consistent, e.g. not having a giant flanged pipe magically transform into a rope.

Is this a game or just a video? Yes, games will be generated in real time.

unreal! The future is AI

It's a video, not a game you can play or interact with.

i think i watched someone play this on stream the other day and it was blowing my mind

conceptually fascinating but aesthetically out of sync

This is ass, random pipe that long with no support, it turns into a wire, stupid girl jumping for no reason and she doesn’t even stay centered in frame

Are we really getting excited about AI generated videos showcasing ai generated games now?
