Lamenting the BDSM days of IDE storage. I wonder how many hours I've spent waiting for them to finish?

Naw. The proper terminology is "Mistress" and "Sub" or "Submissive." That terminology is both pain and pleasure, but just the right mix.

Thanks Cthulhu, I was in the SCSI team: reliable drives, up to 6 devices in the same cable (FastSCSI), x8-10 times the speed (at least in my computer, Amiga 1200) and a device could be an HD, optical, scanner, floppy drive… And the "jumper ritual" was even more "black", hehehe
