Meta Quest Store saw 12% faster loads & 2.5ร— faster interactions with @React Compiler. ESLint and React violations looks solid too I'm skeptical, but definitely going to try it out. Auto-memoization without manual useMemo/useCallback sounds promising. react.dev/blog/2025/10/07/reโ€ฆ
In big codebases, duplicate logic hides everywhere, especially when you are new to a project. AI can now help us spot and prevent those clones before they grow into tech debt.

In the age of #AI and AI-powered IDEs, we should get used to asking questions like: ๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œIs there a function that already does this?โ€ ๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œWhich part of the code handles that?โ€ ๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œDid I just duplicate something?โ€

I was excited to discover #Redis numbered databasesโ€ฆ only to learn the same day they are widely considered a mistake. I wonder if anyone is actually using them in production

Out of curiosity, I ran some offline LLMs on my Raspberry Pi 4. Building from source was fun, and watching it struggle to squeeze out a word per second, even with the smallest models, was oddly satisfying. It met my low expectations perfectly ๐Ÿ˜„ #raspberrypi #llm

๐ŸŒ€ Tried Kotlin Notebookโ€™s `ANIMATE {}` today and got totally sucked in. First plan: shiny data plots. Actual result: a roaming kaomoji ( อก~ โ€ฟ อก~) Bottom line: with a bit of code, #kotlin notebooks move more than just data.
When flying with a kid, you have to be prepared. I downloaded a bunch of cartoons on Disney+ and Netflix. Surprise, the Disney+ app wouldnโ€™t even open. @DisneyPlus, please fix this! It should work offline. Thatโ€™s the whole point! PS: @netflix worked perfectly offline.Lifesaver

Had an inspiring two-day exchange with the @trivago_tech tech crew in the Netherlands!๐Ÿš€ Huge thanks for letting me join the lineup. Shout-out to everyone who packed the room for โ€œMob Programming: Smells Like Team Spirit.โ€๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ”ฅ Your questions and hallway chats were the best part.

I ran the final steps on the work laptop, boom, camera alive on the first try ๐Ÿ“ธโœ…. Today, everyone can see me andโ€ฆ how unlucky I am with the weather ๐Ÿ™„โ˜๏ธ. 6/8

So last night I dove into three-and-a-half hours of Googling, installing, purging, rebooting ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป, chatting with GPT, rinse, repeat. Just when I was about to give up, I opened Google Meet and saw my bleary face staring back. Victory! ๐ŸŽ‰ 5/8

Then I headed off on a workation ๐ŸŒด๐Ÿ’ป. I forgot to pack an external cam, figured Iโ€™d surviveโ€ฆ until I saw my calendar packed with meetings and an interview. 4/8

Iโ€™ve never been short of options: thereโ€™s an external webcam in my home office and another one (plus plenty of Zoom rooms) at work, so the missing laptop cams never felt urgent. I poked at the problem now and then, got nowhere, and shrugged it off ๐Ÿคท. 3/8
Fast-forward to Ubuntu 24.04: upgrade done, webcam dead again ๐Ÿ’€. Same fix, no luck. Then trivago handed me another Dell for work, and yes, its camera was also playing dead ๐Ÿ™„. 2/8
