Senator Thune’s decision to hold the Senate in non stop until Schumer and the Democrats quit trying to hold the American people and federal employees hostage is exactly the right step. Republicans ought to come up with motion after motion to force the Democrats to either show concern for the Americans they are hurting or educate the American people into the viciousness of the Schumer strategy of holding everyone hostage until he gets what he wants. ...His sandwich might have been a hero, but Dunn was not. It is shocking to see a Democratic lawyer calling Dunn a hero for assaulting a federal officer. The verdict was a case of jury nullification of a misdemeanor charge.

Former Clinton campaign general counsel Marc Elias just called Sean Dunn, who hit a federal officer with a sandwich, "a hero." Dunn was acquitted last week in D.C. despite admitting that he threw the object at the officer. Elias said Dunn was "vindicated" in hitting the officer.

If I were a Democrat, I would be embarrassed to walk into this building every day. To walk past the men and women of the Capitol Police not getting paid. The junior staffers wondering how they are going to pay their rent. How can Democrats look any of these people in the eyes?
