Do you 'care' about platform longevity? In reality, do you upgrade your CPU using the same motherboard (EG, Ryzen 2700x -> 5800x3d) or prefer a new board / cpu wherever possible?

I went from a ryzen 3600 to a 5700x3d. Low cost for a big upgrade. Totally worth it
