New Large Castings have been spotted at Tesla's Gigafactory Texas 💡
In the first image you can see new C shaped castings which were recently recorded by @JoeTegtmeyer
It could be the upper part of the Cybercab rear sub assembly (2nd image).
Basically, a structural part mounted above the underbody Gigacasting which forms the upper frame of the vehicle.
Another option, this could be the frame of the tailgate, what do you think? 🤔
In the third image you can see Tesla's Cybercab from above.
A Patreon of mine, Dessie Doolan noted I captured a new Cybercab casting today, one we haven’t seen directly like this before.
This “hoop shaped” casting may be the upper rear of the Cybercab between the cabin and the rear trunk. It most likely bolts to the Rear Sub Frame (RSF) casting, several of which are also visible in these images. @lucagrecoita

🇨🇳🤖 CITIC Dicastal has completed production testing on a humanoid robot leg skeleton 🦿 component produced via high pressure die casting (HPDC) at its facility, with the initial batch of 20 mass-produced units now shipped.
This could be the first or one of the first such products mass produced using HPDC for humanoid robots.
This milestone extends the company’s decades of automotive lightweight expertise into the structural domain of humanoid robotics.
The delivered components comprise four critical left and right-leg structural parts engineered specifically for dynamic locomotion.
Through targeted R&D led by the materials and research department, the parts meet aggressive lightweight targets while satisfying the extreme load and fatigue demands of complex motions, including walking, running, and load-bearing.
CITIC Dicastal’s team replaced conventional forging/milling with HPDC to create a high-efficiency, low-cost production line.
The process boosts material yield to 85–95 %, multiplying output rates several-fold, and delivering dimensional precision that satisfies robotic assembly tolerances.
Looking ahead, the company is fast tracking magnesium alloy die casting processes. With a density just two thirds that of aluminum, magnesium offers transformative weight savings.
Tesla's Optimus robot has allegedly achieved a 42% weight reduction by using magnesium alloys according to leaks to the Chinese press earlier this year.

🇨🇳 FAW Casting exhibited several magnesium alloy products at the 17th Asian Foundry Conference, including a Gigacasting rear underbody weighing just 39 kg (Tesla Model Y RUB is around 60 kg) and various components produced with magnesium thixomolding.

🇨🇳 A subsidiary of Changan Automobile announced the official delivery of a 5,000 ton magnesium thixomolding and aluminum die casting machine.
This machine, produced by LK Machinery is equipped with a TPI (Thixotropic Piston Injection) module.
The TPI module can transform the 5,000 ton high-pressure die-casting machine into a magnesium thixomolding machine.
It means it can switch between magnesium and aluminum alloys, enabling a flexible production.
This also marks the company's official entry into the production of magnesium alloy components to increase its lightweight products supply.

A decade or two from now, documentaries will be made revealing the dirty truth behind Washington’s attempt to use Ukraine as a battering ram to bring Russia to its knees with no regard for Ukrainian lives, the words of figures such as Prof. Jeffrey Sachs will likely be featured and perhaps Europeans will learn the truth, as much of the rest of the world already know.
But it will likely be too late, with Europe being nothing more than a washed up, terminally declining husk of its former self.

The Lexus Shanghai plant’s Gigacasting shop completed the lifting of its first pillar 🏗️
In February 2025, Toyota Motor Corporation announced that Lexus would establish a fully owned production facility in Shanghai dedicated to pure electric vehicles.
This facility will adopt Gigacasting technology and produce the Lexus LF-ZC.
This will be China's first wholly owned automotive plant by a foreign company, for both domestic and international sales, after Tesla established Giga Shanghai in 2019.
❗ Exclusive information (industryarsenal.com/database) indicates that Toyota signed a deal for 9,000 ton die casting machines for the Lexus plant in Shanghai.
In addition to serving the Chinese market, 20% of the plant’s output will be exported to Europe and Southeast Asia.

Dongfeng Starts The World Largest Die Casting Machine ⚙️🇨🇳
The first 16,000 ton die casting machine at Dongfeng's Wuhan plant has officially started trial production.
Hubei TV, a local Chinese newspaper, got access to the new factory in Wuhan where a 16,000 and a 10,000 ton die casting machines have been installed and are now producing test products.
LK Machinery’s Dreampress 16000 is making battery trays for fully electric vehicles.
The mold cavity for this casting has a projected area of 4 square meters according to Hubei TV.
Some new details about the production process have been released.
The production island has a cycle time of 135 seconds and Dongfeng aims for a scrap rate of less than 5%.
