AI it lacks grounding but not intelligence. It can model coherence but not causality. Until it learns why a system behaves the way it does (not just how it looks when it does), it will keep simulating understanding instead of achieving it.

Why doesn’t iteration accomplish this? Why can’t they learn through iteration?

Iteration refines output, not insight. It teaches the model to better predict patterns; but not to understand why those patterns exist. Real causality needs grounding in physical or experiential feedback, not just more data.
