the state of vibe coding in june 2025

I've seen some misinformation, so I wanted to break down the tools to give an accurate picture of what vibe coding looks like, today

Several things apparent from the graphic: - Chat tools are fine for exploration but aren't really "vibe coding" tools - Cloud tools have little set-up and often come with add'l services. This can make it easy for semi-/non-technical folks to start building - ONLY one cloud tool has most services. I am biased, but this chart is purely factual. 😇 - Local tools are great for devs, but have a steep learning curve

Shout-out to @lennysan for the original graphic that I riffed on a bit to get to this one!

Minor correction needed: Windsurf has one-click deployment to Netlify.

UPDATE 2: I have all three on my phone, but I forgot claude, chatgpt, & grok mobile apps 🫠

UPDATE 3: the Netlify logo is upside down, I need more sleep

I love this format for showing the different tech stacks and capabilities of vibe coding tools. One correction needed is that @windsurf_ai has integrated deployment with @Netlify. I'd love to see more tools on this list; perhaps I'll make a website for it.

v0 prevented >75,000 deployments with security vulnerabilities last month alone with our security checker. We are HIPAA and SOC2. We use the same secret storage as Vercel (bc v0 chats are Vercel projects under the hood). How is Replit more “secure” than Vercel in your mind?

Not more secure, just offers a security scan feature for AI generated projects. If there’s one on vercel / v0 I’m happy to include it here. Great last name BTW.

you should add "figma import" as a feature in your state of vibe coding tools

Mobile dev, and mobile deployment needs representation.

Replit is the best. Only thing you guys need to do is hammer out building mobile apps. Either within Replit itself or configured for capacitor wrapped apps A hurdle I ran into—I tried to get replit auth to work on a capacitor wrapped app exported to XCode and agent couldn’t get auth to work without sending me out of the iOS app. If this worked, I’d have had a synced web app and iOS app with not much effort

you should include @FactoryAI

Do you know I build $JTVO @JatevoId using @Replit and it valued $4m?

This is true but it's not the most up to date as I think @convex_dev chef comes very close to Replit with arguably much better db support

Loving Replit but I’m having trouble adding sprites/tilesets to my 2d game - any chance we can get a tutorial?

Don’t think v0 is properly represented here but cool way to visualize all the ways Replit is ahead of the curve.

Convex for auth and DB just unbeaten

i’d add @augmentcode, applies to all 3

I love this design! It's such useful information.
