Scheffler has closed 9 times in a row with the 54 hole lead. One of the things that make him so formidable is that his normal game is one of caution first. As Tiger so often talked about & showed, having the lead is so much about minimising mistakes

For all Scottie’s strengths, to me it’s his competitiveness and ability to remain in the ‘present’ with each shot that separates him. Cliche I know, but hard to do. He rarely follows one mistake with another. Watch for it as it’s tested today.
