Yesterday Asciminib (Scemblix) was FDA approved for patients with CML for initial therapy, thus now possible to use at any point. After 11 years of working on its development, I can say without hesitation this is a breakthrough for those affected by CML, a huge advance for us all

@NYGovCuomo used one of the phrases I use all the time- 'this is a marathon, not a sprint'- just like beating chronic myeloid leukemia.
