I don't know why, but for the longest time, I've thought that there probably exists a breakaway civilization on this planet that co-exists with the normal civilization, hidden in plain sight. It's as if some of us live in a world that would appear fantastical to the rest of us, having access to advanced technology, medical marvels, and the ability to travel in space as easily as if driving to work. I believe there is a tiny fraction of people that have access to these capabilities, and I would love to be proven right someday.

BREAKING: Democrats just tried to pass a standalone bill to fund WIC & SNAP to make sure families don't go hungry during the Republican shutdown. Republicans BLOCKED it. So Trump won't use emergency funds to keep SNAP running, and Republicans won't let any bills pass. Shameful.

The best thing you can do to achieve peace in this life, is to live and let live. There will always be a group of people who will try to force their will upon you. Defend yourself when you must, but live and let live.

I feel like I have to post something like this again, because there are a lot of crazy people out there. It's ok to criticize your government in the USA. In fact, it's tradition. It's how the system works. If you don't like how things are being done, speak up. Do it peacefully and legally. Using threats or violence as a form of political dissent is not ok and that's not protected by the Constitution. That's only as a last resort, when you and your family are in grave danger, or when the country is at risk of falling to an enemy, foreign or domestic. The 2nd amendment supports this. Those who are using threats or violence because they disagree with the policies of the current administration are making it worse for the entire country. We still have a democracy - fight to hold onto that - no matter who or which party is in power.
