BTW. I'm not completely anti AI. It's a tool, and tools are helpful. But if what you need is tweezers and you pick up a 20,000-pound excavator for the job...
I believe the best way to think is to write (or at least sit quietly with nothing to do).
If writing is thinking, and I let an AI do my writing, then I haven’t really thought at all.
It’s strange even to be thinking about this.
It's the end of October, which means it's time to pick out my writing platform for National Novel Writing Month. This year I'm going with the Electra 220. It's great to type on and keeps me away from the temptation of LLMs and grammar checkers. Gonna tone it down this year and shoot for 1000 words per day. I've got a story idea and the first four or five chapters in mind already.
I'm seriously thinking about opening a vintage appliances business. I want boring, SUPER reliable appliances. They can use all the water they want. I just want them to work like a tank.
Grok just told me it would take 5 hours to go 8350 miles at 33 knots.
Was very confident about its answer so it must be correct.
Question nothing.
(Claude got it right BTW)
