There’s so much noise and bullshit in life, and no clear way to cut through it. You just learn over time what’s real and what’s not. (hopefully?)
I think the secret to a good life is to continually have something to look forward to no matter how small. Agree or disagree?

Work hard, if you really have to. But know why you’re working hard. And keep re-evaluating those reasons from time to time. Fetishization of hard work creates toxic culture, and robs humanity of everything that’s important for a happy life - health, play and relationships.

Don’t fight the brain’s nature, design for it. * Use my reflective mind for planning, and build routines for execution. My mind isn't broken, it just needs structure that fits how it works. 🧵9/9
Make starting automatic. Essentially a habit of something like the same place, same time, same cue etc. Momentum will kill hesitation. Have a plan for the next day before the current one is over. 🧵8/9
Protect recovery: * Sleep is the ultimate performance enhancer * Move my body daily and hydrate well (need to desperately get into an exercise routine) 🧵7/9
Short, intense bursts. 30–45 mins focus → 5–15 mins rest. Two or three such blocks will beat 8 unfocused hours. 🧵6/9
Work with my energy windows Find when my mind is sharpest (usually 2–3 hrs/day) Do deep work then, leave admin for low-energy hours Don’t push through mental fog, rest or switch tasks 🧵5/9
Reduce decision friction * Pre-commit to a process, not perfection (“3 focused hours, then ship”) * Use templates/checklists for recurring work Adopt a rule: If I’m 60% sure, I act 🧵4/9
Yes, many people feel this way. I've described two very common things: 1️⃣ Cognitive hesitation: The mental “brake” that appears before acting. 2️⃣ Cognitive fatigue: When focus feels finite and deep work drains you fast. These are the tips I want to implement 👇🏽 🧵3/9
The thing is, my brain genuinely caps out. Deep focus drains me fast and I feel I don't process things as quickly as others. I've always wondered do other people feel this too? And how do you get the most out of your brain? 🧠 🧵2/9
I’ve realised I’m a pretty hesitant person. I overthink before acting, which makes everything take longer. I need to just throw myself into things more and execute, even if it’s not perfect 🧵1/9
A wise person once said there are no “chosen people” of God. History shows that those who believe they are chosen often bring about great suffering (and death)
Steve Jobs definition of focus is insane:
“We tend to think of the artist's work as the output. The real work of the artist is a way of being in the world.” Rick Rubin
I didn’t expect fast growth, but I did underestimate how little I know about getting something in front of the right people. Still, it’s my first SaaS. And you’ve got to start somewhere. #buildinginpublic #solopreneur #SaaS
So right now, I’m in learning mode which entails experimenting, getting better at tracking and sharing updates as I go.
The real difficulty is contacting Etsy sellers (hindsight sigh) No email addresses. No clear outreach channel. It’s all scrappy work - DMs, Instagram, and detective-level effort.
I've done one Reddit post, engaged a bunch on reddit r/etsysellers and a few small Reddit ads when I launched. Maybe that helped? 🤷‍♂️ Hard to tell.
