Recorded sports programs should pad to an acceptable max length. Watching @B1GVolleyball on @big10plus . You can tell who will win the match by who wins the first set, because by recording length you know it is a 3 setter.
If you are in Denver - you should attend.
It’s been a while since I got the chance to speak at a @Meetup — thus, I am very much looking forward to it! Especially as I will share the stage with the one and only @bbejeck! Join us in Denver, Oct/8 at 6pm MDT! #KafkaStreams meetu.ps/e/NwmtX/rL1l2/i

My paraphrasing… Don’t just dump the data as it is.. Very important to make your data usable and in sync with the business. @confluentinc @jaykreps

In part one of her four-part, deep-dive blog series examining how Apache Kafka client requests are handled by brokers, @TheDanicaFine looks at what a producer does behind the scenes to help prepare your raw event data for the broker. Read it here ➡️ cnfl.io/3zaf4pp

I don’t always share memes. But when I do, they are usually about Kafka Streams or pictures of otters.

This is great stuff!
As any founder can attest, landing your initial customers is a classic chicken and egg problem. This is especially true when your product is at the heart of mission critical financial applications. So I'm forever grateful that @getmetronome decided to place their trust in @responsive_apps to power their core systems from our very earliest days. 💚 Metronome powers the usage based billing systems at some of today's most iconic companies, including OpenAI, Nvidia, Databricks, and many more. As with so many companies who live and breath real time data, Kafka Streams powers the core of their product. The reliability and correctness of Kafka Streams is of paramount importance to Metronome. For instance, if their Kafka Streams based ingestion pipeline is down or faulty, spend limits and other core features don't trigger correctly. I'm really proud of the work Responsive has done to help scale Metronome's usage of Kafka Streams while maintaining 99.99%+ availability for mission-critical, stateful, transactional workloads as their customer base and usage has skyrocketed this year. 👉  Read on to learn more about how Metronome uses Kafka Streams and how Responsive helped them scale with high availability: responsive.dev/customers/met…

TIL that you can create an empty string consumer group in @apachekafka. I don't know how it got created, but I did get it deleted. % kafka-consumer-groups --delete --group "" Deletion of requested consumer groups ('') was successful.
