I am glad their true colors are showing. They love it when Americans lose health care.

Actually the GOP has suggested that those relying on the ACA be given the subsidies directly so that they can find better coverage options. There's roughly 21-23M Americans using the ACA. The insurance companies currently control some 80B in subsidies. If the GOP does flil this and essentially provides the users of ACA to have HSAs so they can cover their own plans, this directly provides an average increase in plan options by providing the individuals some additional 4k to invest in a plan. Why are leftist such liars?

The BuyDem Regime had 4 years to do something about the ACA ...did nothing. They did add over 8 trillion to the debt. Dems are a scam.

How it would work- We stop sending your money to insurance companies and hospitals. We send it straight to YOU. Then we make the system actually compete for your cash. 1. Your boss doesn’t pick your insurance anymore. They just give you the money they used to spend (about $8,000 if you’re single, $20,000+ for a family) as a monthly stipend, tax-free. 2. The government does the same. Instead of paying insurance companies billions, they deposit $500 a month (single) or $1,200 (family) straight into your Health Savings Account. That’s your money, every month. 3. You now have $25,000–$35,000 a year in your pocket (boss money + government money). You use it to buy whatever insurance you want — cheap high-deductible, fancy low-deductible, Christian co-op, whatever. Any leftover cash? You keep it. 4. You can buy insurance from any company in any state. No more “sorry, we don’t sell in West Virginia.” Shop nationwide like you do for car insurance. 5. Hospitals have to charge everyone the same price. No more secret deals where Big Insurance pays less and you pay double. One price for all — like a menu at a restaurant. 6. Drug prices get crushed. Same rules as Trump did before: America pays the lowest price in the world, or we import from Canada. No more $600 EpiPens. 7. Insurance companies can’t jack up prices to game the system anymore. We kill the stupid rule that forces them to spend 80–85% of your money. Now if they overcharge, they have to cut next year’s price — or you just walk away. Result in 3 years: • Average family premiums drop from $24,000 → $12,000–$15,000 • You pocket the difference • No new taxes • Same-day doctor visits • Rural hospitals stay open • Insurance companies finally have to beg for your business instead of the other way around

How about letting consumers choose to "use" insurance or not? Once insurance is presented the consumer can't choose to pay-in-full once they find out its cheaper. Subsidies hide the larger underlying issues. $38T in debt, we won't have anything if spending persists.

Why does Obamacare need to be subsidized? I thought it was going to lower costs?...

Oh look it's the auto pen in chief. When are they indicating you?
Replying to @neeratanden
No, we love it when our representatives fight to stop giving our taxpayer dollars to people making $200k and above to help pay for THEIR healthcare premiums!

You............propagandists.

Good. The ACA needs to be repealed.
Replying to @neeratanden
Many lost their healthcare the day the ACA went into effect.

Time is not on their side anymore. If they don't reopen soon even the money for foreign interests will dry up. And for the senators that's their main concern

Well, if the Democrats would just vote, yes to open the government without blackmailing the federal government, we wouldn’t have a problem.ACA tax subsidies/ 15 million ppl x $500 (average) premiums = $7,500,000,000. A MONTH Why do we need subsidies for? DEM/kickbacks anyone!
Replying to @neeratanden
We live it when we aren’t paying for other people’s insurance *

Senate Democrats love this little tantrum of theirs. And you all naively think your brand isn’t being damaged because your polls lead you to think it. But you’re mistaken.
Replying to @neeratanden
Why do Democrats want to give billions to big pharma???
Replying to @neeratanden
At some point dems are going to have to agree to a vote in on the subsidies and then allow the GOP to own the increase. The govt is going to need to get funded and open soon.
Replying to @neeratanden
Nope they hate throwing good money after bad!
Replying to @neeratanden
If the ACA was successful then why would we need MORE subsidies than what was originally delivered. This are Biden Covid era subsidies. The ACA is a failure

Why are premiums going up 400%? First of all, we all have healthcare. What we’re discussing is who pays for it. I’m so sick of the sanctimony as if this isn’t happening because the ACA made all of this WORSE Talk about projection. This was the goal all along….
Replying to @neeratanden
Healthcare or their health insurance subsidies increase as set by the law the democrats passed? Weird how you change the wording. Typical lie, deny, deflect all issues.

Senators (both parties) are largely backed financially by foreign interests. Cutting out Americans allowed them more money for foreign interests but now that's becoming difficult. They now have to find a way to reopen while "saving face"
