At a reality show, Lata Mangeshkar ji was so mesmerised by a young girl that she turned around and asked me if Saregama could give her a chance. That moment launched the incredible journey of Sunidhi Chauhan.

This man just explained to Martin Scorsese what ‘Annihilation Of Caste’ and Dr Ambedkar mean to modern India and its very foundations. “Shakpeare had said ‘What’s in a name?’. Come to India and find out”- @ghaywan A joy and an honor to witness this QnA, this moment.

You are the author of your own life, and it’s never too late to replace the stories you tell yourself and the world. It’s never too late to begin a new chapter, add a surprise twist, or change genres entirely.

As an economist I was hesitant reading this book. But was pleasantly surprised. For a sweeping & accurate history of economics, from ancient Greece to contemporary times—George Akerlof, Joseph Stiglitz, Amartya Sen, all in less than 250 pages, it turned out to be a page turner.

That moment was the clincher! #WomensWorldCup2025
Jhulan Goswami broke down in tears last night as the Indian women’s team lifted the World Cup. A tall, middle-class girl from Chakdaha, Bengal, she grew to become one of the fastest and greatest bowlers the sport has ever seen. With 255 ODI wickets, a world record, she stands so far ahead that the second-highest isn’t even at 200. She carried the flag for women’s cricket in an era when not many were watching. A biopic on her life, starring Anushka Sharma, finished shooting in 2022 but never saw the light of day. It was not released after widespread outrage following the teaser, as viewers felt Anushka Sharma neither looked nor sounded anything like Jhulan.

Terrific all round performances by Shefali and particularly Deepti Sharma. They did the star turn for India in the final

So many struggles behind this win - Amanjot’s father in tears after her amazing catch - he’s a carpenter who made his daughter her first bat when they were struggling and had nothing. Thanks @Mekaranverma for capturing this poignant moment 💜

At the risk of immodesty, The Tribune @thetribunechd easily has the best front page in the country. Those of you say aye, AYE !!!
Skipper Harmanpreet Kaur deserves credit for the manner in which she held her nerve in the semi final and final, both extremely tense gamed. Getting Shefali Verma to bowl was a master stroke!

This world would be an emotionless dark space without women. Look at the compassion women hold for each other. That’s what makes them special. It’s a battle these Indian Women have won. Their tears and the struggle behind it is way beyond just writing Proud Moment. I’m sure every woman can relate. ❤️
