@IEA has published its latest report “Ukraine’s Energy Security: A pre-winter assessment” and it’s encouraging to see our progress being recognised.
The report highlights how far the country has come in strengthening its energy system and the role that private companies like DTEK are playing in that effort. At the direction of DTEK shareholder Rinat Akhmetov, we are developing multiple wind, solar and battery installations that are typically harder to target and faster to repair.
The IEA mentions the launch of Ukraine’s first large-scale battery energy storage system – a 200 MW / 400 MWh network capable of powering 600,000 homes for two hours. This project shows how technology like this is helping make Ukraine’s grid more stable, flexible and resilient.
