Which Jesus do you serve?
if the Lord allows it, and I ever become a wife and a mother, I pray that I esteem the Lord's voice and smile rather then men's.
what's truly sad is that these are the very same people who say they esteem mothers, respect wives, and support women.
I find that a lot of people say "it's boring being at home all the time, there's no progress" "your degree and work experience will be put to waste" "you need to help your husband and earn money" "he's controlling, patriarchy is oppressive" "just a housewife? that's sad"
Sometimes women undo one another without even realizing it. A woman makes a small, loving choice. She begins to wear her hair the way her fiancé likes. She changes something simple to bring him joy. And suddenly the voices start up: “You should wear it how you want.” “What’s wrong with him?” “Ask if you can grow it long again.” But love isn’t about keeping score. It’s about knowing one another’s hearts, about finding joy in giving, about peace instead of pride. When a woman chooses to please the man she loves, it isn’t weakness. It’s affection. It’s the quiet strength that holds a home together.

Some people think staying home is boring. I think being at home is the most fascinating place to be. Some simple and homey amusements: *Eat meals at the table. Sit back, relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor. This is my number one favorite amusement! Eating good food with the people I love is the best.  I find this is also a good time to discuss the events of the day with my husband and to bring up any problems or concerns with him. *Go for walks in the neighborhood. Notice the changes in the seasons together. Play backyard games in summer and board games in the winter. *Collect a small library of books and putter in it on the long winter nights. Read and annotate books in areas you are interested. Write a blog or letters to family and friends. *Start a garden and work in it in the early mornings or evenings. *Children are built-in amusement: Read to them. Sing songs with them. Play little games. *Draw and paint.  Make your own greeting cards and art to decorate your home. *Practice the needle arts:  sewing, crochet, embroidery, knitting. *Work on cars. Do woodworking. *Memorize great quotes or Bible passages. Learn to pray. Listen to music. Look at art. *Don’t forget hospitality: Invite someone over, serve them cake and tea. Enjoy conversation and just pass the time together. *After the children are asleep is a good time for a nice bubble bath or shower, spending some time in prayer and reading, and cuddling in bed. Before I close my eyes, I reflect on God’s blessings that day. Learn to be content at home and you will always be on vacation.

Maturing is realizing that... Sex isn't casual. Porn is demonic. Birth control ruins you. Real foods are not a diet. Jesus is real. Health is wealth. Heaven is eternal. Modesty is beautiful. Pills aren't always needed. The world is wicked. But than the Lord for Jesus, who wins in the end.
From 1990 - 2005, we gave away our TV, starting buying books and homeschooling our children. This is what my daily schedule looked like: Morning 6:30 *Freshen Up. Make Coffee. Open the house. Check the T0-Do list. *Tidy the house. 9 Homeschooling 11 Fresh Air and Exercise. Garden. 12 *Prepare lunch and eat. Read - aloud classic literature. *Start prepping dinner. *Reset the kitchen. Afternoon 1 *Rest and Reading *Crafting / Free play 3 * Mon: Clean bedrooms. Iron. *Tue: Clean bathrooms. *Wed: Clean kitchen. * Thur: Market , errands * Fri: Clean living room. 4 *Freshen Up. Tea Time. Set the table. Evening 5 *Finish supper. *Serve and eat with family. *Reset the kitchen. Write tomorrow’s To-Do list. 7 *Children’s hour (Bathe and read to children. Put to bed) *Leisure time for adults. 9 *Bubble bath. Spend focused time with my husband. *Get a good night’s sleep. On Saturdays and Sundays we did things together as a family and went to church. Five non-negotiables of Christianity: 1. We are justified by faith in Jesus Christ alone. 2. God is triune in nature. 3. The Bible is the inerrant, infallible word of God and our highest authority. 4. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human. 5. Jesus bodily resurrected.
Aside from hearing, “Well done, good and faithful servant,” no words carry greater weight or deeper comfort than these: “Take heart, your sins are forgiven you.”

This might be the hardest part of being a Christian.

A virtuous wife lives to serve her husband and children.
