🇬🇧 UK: AI CAN EAT YOUR WORK AND SAY THANKS LATER
A British court just gave Stability AI a free pass for using Getty Images to train its model, because the country’s copyright laws are stuck in the Stone Age.
The judge basically said: “Yeah, this feels wrong, but my hands are tied.”
Now the UK’s creative world is losing it, while the government shrugs and asks everyone to wait for a long, confusing consultation.
One genius proposal? Let AI gobble up anything unless artists formally opt out, because obviously musicians, writers, and painters have time for that paperwork.
If Britain doesn’t get its act together, AI firms will bounce to places like the U.S. or Japan where the rules are already chill.
