The Oakland University Board of Trustees approved the renaming of the school’s Honors College as the Donna and Walt Young Honors College. It is the first named school in Oakland’s history. bit.ly/4hlrnRw

OU’s first alumni reunion was in 1964, hosted by Chancellor Woody Varner, his wife Paula, and founder Matilda Dodge Wilson. Around 175 alumni gathered at Meadow Brook Hall, just like they will this October for their “Oakland Encore.”
