It went wrong with the very Obasanjo in the picture..... Like the quintessential Nigerian elite....he loved to wear the robes of a statesman but didn't want to make the sacrifices.... He perfected election rigging/violence, tried to extend his tenure...etc.

This is sloppy; extremism should be dismantled, not demonised. Demonisation collapses the extremists and the entire religion into one target, which fuels more polarisation and actually strengthens the extremist narrative.
