BBC admits it edited Trump’s speech in a Panorama documentary. Viewers were misled. Chairman now writing to MPs. Pressure mounts for Tim Davie to resign. Public trust shattered.
The BBC has privately confirmed it will apologise to MPs after Panorama edited Donald Trump’s January 6 speech in a way that “materially misled viewers".
The Telegraph reports the apology follows a whistleblower dossier alleging systemic bias and leadership inaction.
Michael Prescott, a former BBC standards adviser, warned executives that Panorama spliced separate parts of Trump’s speech to imply he incited the Capitol crowd. His memo said the edit “completely misled viewers”. Senior leadership allegedly ignored it for months.
Chairman Samir Shah will now write to Dame Caroline Dinenage, admitting the BBC edited the Trump footage incorrectly. Sources say the delayed apology raises questions about a potential internal cover-up.
Former director Danny Cohen says Shah and Davie were both warned six months ago. Pressure for resignations is rising.
Sir John Whittingdale called the edit “a very serious manipulation and said the Director-General may now need to step down.

Dearborn Michigan is 55% Muslim, the police force is being replaced with mostly Muslim police officers who have different views on Sharia law vs Michigan's laws. They proposed an Arabic police patch.
This is the most advanced example so far in the USA, but we can see the same trend happening in Minneapolis, NYC and other areas that Obama and Biden focused on importing and concentrating Muslims.
There is an effort among the radical left to change to demographics of the USA. Demographics is destiny. Do we really want Islamic sharia law to dominate parts of the USA?
It is starting to look like Iran in some parts of the USA, with chants of "death to America" on our own soil.
