More than a week ago, I flagged a new tactic by Afghanistan-based TTP and its patron, the Taliban, creating proxy groups to claim attacks in Pakistan, including an attempt to present one such proxy as being linked to the Barelvi extremist (ignorant) group, TLP.
Yesterday, the TTP, advised by the Taliban, released a video from Afghanistan, continuing this tactic.
For those wondering what the video was about:
⚠️ Afghanistan-based and Taliban-backed TTP, after carrying out an IED attack in Peshawar that injured a police officer, is now disseminating through its disinformation brigade the claim that the attack was carried out by the recently banned right-wing political party TLP.
Backed by the Taliban’s disinformation machinery, the TTP is waging war on Pakistan on many fronts, including attempting to exploit Pakistan’s domestic political situation to create instability. This is also a way for the TTP and the Taliban to give themselves cover.
If the Pakistan military does not follow the policy of zero tolerance toward any TTP attacks in Pakistan and does not bomb Afghanistan after every attack, it will regret it.
Take a break from your incompetence and follow this policy,
