“A disgrace for all humanity.”
Today, King Philippe of
#Belgium broke the silence. In his national address, he condemned the horror unfolding in
#Gaza. He called for international law and human dignity to be upheld.
Two days ago, the
#HindRajabFoundation and
@GLAN_LAW filed urgent legal complaints with the Belgian Federal Prosecutor. Two Israeli soldiers—credibly accused of participating in the assault on Gaza—were identified at the
#Tomorrowland festival in Boom. They remain on Belgian soil.
Despite clear legal obligations under universal jurisdiction and the Genocide Convention, the Belgian authorities have yet to act. The suspects are still free. The prosecution is still “considering.”
Words, however powerful, mean nothing without action.
If Belgium truly believes Gaza is a disgrace for humanity, it must show it—by arresting those suspected of grave crimes, not hosting them at music festivals.
This is a test of Belgium’s commitment to justice.
The time for hesitation is over.
