I now have a buy button! You can get my control board for $35/unit until this Friday to turn any BLDC motor into an actuator. The firmware and control lib are fully open source and the first batch is already out the door! The goal of this board is to make any motors response highly predictable and over the coming weeks I'm releasing firmware to specifically reduce the sim2real gap for RL applications. I'm going to be releasing more things like this and building up to releasing a quadruped competitive to the Go2, all open source and easily modifiable. Today, along with the buy button, I'm also putting out OpenActuator. A library to reduce complexity in actuator communication and control, along with its GUI. There's more information below on everything and the store link. Make more robots!
I really wish investment memos were the standard over pitch decks. You don't need pretty graphics to communicate what you're doing. 1 A4 page with some well thought through info is way more informative than a deck IMO

I ran out of PCBs and the first of two batches are arriving today, orders will resume shipping!

This is a great way to make PCBs at home it's really easy to do the soldermask as well
2-sided prototype PCBs. Real vias. One hour.

A part on the next thing I'm putting up on the Hlabs store has this as the schematic

ACBv3 has 2 of these for daisy chaining power/CAN, and then a USB C port

One connector to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them. The XT30 (2+2), perfection.

More orders out the door today, this one is headed to @parthingle_x go check out @saturnroboticsx if you're in the market for an actuator!

Added in some docs for getting started with the motor tests mount, link below for those needing it

Is there a CSI camera to ethernet module? I implemented this awhile ago on a raspberry pi zero (ran a subnet on the USB) and it's so great for adding on cameras to a robot when you're out of mipi ports

Regret choosing LQFP packages for some parts it has massively slowed down production, the legs provide a lot of surface area for solder which messes up some of the reflow process. Next iteration will have no legs on the larger fine pitch parts, you can swipe off any excess solder so easily

The mount has a flywheel with a 6mm diametric magnet on for the ACBs encoder
Just added a motor control quickstart mount to the store! It lets you try different control algos on a BLDC motor without needing to put the ACB on an actuator, and of course is gridfinity compatible (2x2). I'm putting the STL files in the docs for free so you can make it at home as well, this is for folks who don't want the hassle. Listed @ $25, and you get $7.50 off when purchased with an ACBv2.0. I've included it in a couple of packages sent out already, but if you've not had a shipping notification and would like one let me know and I'll add to your order for $15!

Can confirm that the reflow oven is a big improvement for me. I think the key is the low temp solder paste I use. It flows at 138 so you don't need to go too high at all, well under the board damaging temps
