Itās interesting reading most of the responses in this thread. Theyāre all the same old ābecome a doctorā ālearn to codeā answers. No one seems to see AI coming for those jobs.
If you were advising a widely-talented 17yo today who wanted the safest path to the upper middle class what college major would you recommend? I genuinely don't know. The world is changing a lot. It's probably not computer science. Maybe it's mechanical engineering or math?
Feed algorithms have become so annoying. I know I have some passing interest in viewing some topic, but I know if I do view it that thing will completely take over my feed for the foreseeable future.
