While I think 1984 an important book, Fahrenheit 451 is the must-read dystopian novel. It foresaw everything: AI summaries, robotic dogs, flat-screen TV, the death of reading in an age of endless amusement. He wrote about EAR BUDS before they were a thing. It’s a prophetic text.

i don’t want to compare them bc i think they’re both very different BUT something i do find interesting is how nosferatu depicts the grotesque as abhorrent yet undeniable (which makes it so disturbing) while in frankenstein the grostesque is beautiful and asks for admiration

The thing that gets me about this is that if AI artists were truly proud of the technology, they'd just show how the real process works instead of trying to pretend they did things the traditional way.
