First thought when you see this grocery cart? I am thinking it’s best to have a plan first or this happens.

Name one good thing about Ontario aside from Niagara Falls? … yeah, I can’t either, so, that means 99% of Ontario sucks, and you means 56% of Ontarian’s suck, me thinks! 😂😂😂

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, but doesn’t tell the whole story. This is from a box of slides marked July 1965, and occurred in Northwest Calgary, AB. It was called the emergency brake, but there wasn’t an emergency at the time. Maybe emergency prevention brake might have been a better name.

Check out the Christmas market at the friends of Al Azhar! It’s kind of on the road to Baker Park but you have to follow thé signs and go on the road to the right. It’s close to Baker Park, check out the baking!

Today I learned that Whiz-BANG was an actual thing. Is this where the term originates?

I am cleaning out my parents house and I found this, it’s some power company artifacts from the past. My mom worked for Calgary Power, and I believe the hot pads were to promote nuclear energy. You can stick the pad to the fridge since it’s magnetic. The trademark is from 1955, although I believe the pads would be from about 1958 or so. Does anyone know more about these?

Do you think City Councillors should publish their voting record on key issues for residents to see? I do which is why I compiled my voting record along with everyone else’s on my City Web Page and some votes might surprise you. Check it out⬇️ calgary.ca/council/ward-13/v…
How much stuff can you acquire in 62 years? It appears as though it’s quite a bit. I am journaling my disposal adventure. Around 15 years ago, we took 3 30-yard bins of stuff from the yard and garage. There is still lots left though. This is a TV unit that my dad had painted black, plus some bricks and wood used in a makeshift bookcase.

Regarding the water system problems in Calgary, would it make sense to have a web page that shows the current system utilization of water? Even though the system is compromised, water could be used at off peak hours, and maybe if things were tight, a message could be sent out to all users so we could reduce usage if there was an issue. Also, since there are possibly problems with people not diligently working on the problems, what about the idea of live streaming the repair sites? Since it's a system capacity issue, we could do things to stagger the load on the system, thereby getting as much water to people as possible without overloading the system. This is just a thought - let me know what you think.

Isn't this going to make streaming costs go up?
Online streaming services operating in Canada will be required to contribute 5% of their Canadian revenues to support the domestic broadcasting system, the CRTC says. cbc.ca/news/business/canada-… .

So I have received the munificent disbursement of $337.50 from the CRA for the Canada Carbon Rebate. Is this supposed to be some kind of sop that our Dear Leader is granting to the unwashed proletariat so they won't be so mad about high gas prices? Supposedly it's supposed to help lower income people, but they're the ones who are driving to work, and their food costs (which contain shipping costs of the food items) probably aren't much less than mine. What do you think about the rebate, besides it being an opportunity to restock your beer fridge?
