A Heartwarming Journey 💛
An orphaned baby Elephant, once lost and alone, takes to the skies in a private plane — on its way to a new life filled with love and safety.
This photo captures a rescue by the @SheldrickTrust. Kipekee, a 4-week-old orphaned Elephant found abandoned in Kenya in June 2025 after her injured mother couldn't care for her. She was flown by plane to the Trust's Nairobi Nursery for rehabilitation and a new start with other orphans.
Heartwarming conservation work! 🙏
The Hidden Brain Region That Fuels Your Will to Live
Most people have no idea this brain structure exists — yet it might explain why some people push through pain, achieve incredible goals, and even live longer.
It’s called the anterior mid-cingulate cortex (aMCC). And when you do something you don’t want to do—like forcing yourself to exercise, resist cravings, or face discomfort—this part of your brain actually grows.
Here’s the twist: the aMCC tends to be smaller in people with obesity… but it increases when they start dieting successfully. It’s bigger in athletes. It’s also larger in people who thrive on challenge and growth.
And in those who live the longest, it stays strong and intact.
Neuroscientists now think this isn’t just the brain’s center of willpower—it might actually be the biological seat of the will to live.
The photonistas (of which I am) want you to know this morning sunlight thing is the anchor for so much that is health… and sleep… and metabolism… and mood… Make it happen!
Morning light is the best thing you can use to go to sleep earlier (and sleep better)
In a new study, each 30 min of sun before 10 a.m. was associated with an advanced sleep midpoint by 23 minutes and improved sleep quality
In 2001, George Stephanopoulos admitted to PBS Frontline that the Clinton Administration worked to paint Congress as “blackmailing the country to get their way” via government shutdown and characterized them as “basically terrorists.”
In 2025, he calls these quotes “a mischaracterization of history” – what changed, George?
Forget LinkedIn or other sites. X is the most incredible place to connect and save millions of dogs…
🐕 I help street dogs in Asia. It’s my life’s work to half the street dog population globally.
📱 Woke up one morning my phone going crazy. X users had told the president of El Salvador @nayibbukele I was the guy to possibly help.
✈️ Chatted to his team and I jumped on a plane. 5 day round trip. Chatted about how to fix the problem in an entire country as a best in class template for other nations to copy one day.
Thank you X users. You might just have saved millions of dogs in the coming years ❤️
The best Sunday workout: move as much as possible outdoors with people (and/or dogs) you love. And if you have to do it alone, do it alone… maybe foster a dog. We love to isolate variables but connection, sunlight, movement, fresh air, etc.; the positive synergy is incalculable.
Mocha, Miniature Poodle (3 y/o), Broadway & Broome St., New York, NY • “He loves people, food, and rats… wild rats. He almost got one. My favorite is every time I come back from work…seeing him happy. He’s like a child.”
Stormzy is working so hard.
He’s getting a medical check this week on his brain and spine but today he is showing off his walking.
Still not perfect but getting stronger ❤️
Pangur & Nessie, mixes, Prince & West Broadway, New York, NY • “This is Pangur, and this is Nessie – she’s very shy; she might not pose for the photo. She’s a husky/cattle dog mix; she’s a chihuahua/bulldog/poodle. They’re both rescues.”
He’s worked so hard. Taken all his rest seriously. Only eats the best foods. Does all his exercises.
It’s been 3 weeks since he was so badly injured he was told he would have to be put to sleep.
Look at Stomzy go today ❤️
A quick FDA Direct conversation today! Biologic drugs are incredible, but they’re expensive – and they account for 51% of all drug spending. How can we bring cheaper alternatives to market?
Just a few minutes of exercise can elevate your immune system's natural cancer-fighting abilities by natural killer T cell activity up to 6-fold.
That’s just one of many anti-cancer properties of exercise. It's a potent activator of immune cell function, heightening immune system surveillance and enhancing the body's ability to detect and eliminate cancerous cells.
Regular exercise is also linked to lower cancer recurrence, reduced cancer mortality, and better long-term survival among people with cancer or a history of cancer. Numerous studies support these benefits, especially for vigorous-intensity exercise.
Exercise isn’t a standalone treatment. But as an adjunct therapy and preventative lever for most cancer types, it’s incredibly effective.
