MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough calls out
@JGreenblattADL for baseless insinuations against Zohran Mamdani —
Scarborough: “But you’re not suggesting that he supports the firebombing in Colorado!?”
Greenblatt: “I never said that.”
Scarborough: “Nahh, but there’s a lot of blurring and blaming here… You keep looking into that camera and saying, ‘Call us. We’re going to make sure that he doesn’t...”
🟢 In June, ADL chief Jonathan Greenblatt attacked Mamdani for refusing to meet with the “right Jews,” saying, “He doesn’t get to pick and choose which Jewish people he talks to. He needs to come to us.” Today he announced that the ADL is “launching a comprehensive citywide initiative to track and monitor policies and personnel appointments of the incoming Mamdani Administration,” framing it as necessary to keep “Jewish New Yorkers safe.”
Asked about it earlier, NYC Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani said he had “some doubts in Jonathan’s ability to do so honestly, given that he previously said I had not visited any synagogues—only to have to correct himself.”
The ADL has faced criticism for labeling pro-Palestinian speech and campus demonstrations as “antisemitic,” and for its blind support of Israel as it carried out a live-streamed genocide in Gaza.
