My biggest problem with Candace Owens debate skill are the gaslighting and defensiveness.
She has seemed ill prepared some of the time and extremely biased. With that I don’t discount all her points. But the messaging has a tendency to back herself into a corner, which is not a good attribute when messaging something that could be controversial or that lacks solid support.
Some are coming to Candace Owens for her criticism of the Gaza war, and some of it sounds reasonable, like objecting to the scale of violence, injured kids. But embedded in it are ideas I recognize from covering extremism, like her claim "our government is occupied by Zionists"

The reason businesses will continue in New York is because of its population. You can’t replace New York’s population by moving to Billings, Montana, and reopening your restaurant.
The billionaire he just named are the billionaires whose employees are also receiving SNAP and Obamacare.
So all the policies about legalization prostitution, free transgender surgeries and care, sanctuary cities not just for illegal immigrants but for trans kids??? are red flag warnings. As a Muslim candidate who takes his faith seriously why would he support these?
I think I have an idea. It’s the breakdown own western civilization. The breakdown of Christian values. Etc etc etc.
