Our Government sends us reminders daily to file ITR on time. Why can’t we send similar message to authorities when we see a pothole? "Dear Government, there’s a pothole on Ring Road. Please check it here (Google Map link)" Accountability should be two-way in a Democracy!

Lost my young cousin sister in an accident in Lucknow today while she was driving her scooter from her NEET coaching. She was wearing a helmet. The saddest part is that the guy who hit her from back left the seen. We don’t even know what hit her. The govt ambulance that came to pick her up dropped her to the trauma centre, not to the nearest hospital, despite requests on phone by parents. What a system is this! The incident took place on the overbridge so no cctvs seems to be there. We lost a bright mind but the culprit escaped. I feel so sad and helpless at the same time. Please keep yourself safe on roads.

Kissing his maroon beret at Pathankot Military Hospital is Sergeant Shailabh Gaur(then Cpl), who fought bravely alongside Cpl Gursevek Singh against Pakistani fidayeen in 2016. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds to his abdomen during the airbase attack & it was only a miracle that he survived to tell the tale. He helped me a great deal in curating the story of Cpl Gursevek Singh, with whom he not only underwent the bonebreaking Garud training & earned the proficiency badge together, but also fought shoulder to shoulder in his brother in arms last battle. Do read Wings of Valour. It is a tribute to the duty & sacrifices of the brave IAF personnel for India. amzn.to/4olUVAX
Corporal Gursevek Singh, Shaurya Chakra (P) laid down his life during one of the biggest terrorist attacks India has ever faced…the Pathankot Air Force Station attack. He was the first casualty from the Indian forces’ side & fought a fierce gun battle with the Pakistani Fidayeen. His supreme sacrifice alerted the security forces to the terrorists presence inside the base, preventing a far greater tragedy. Married for just 45 days, he chose duty over life itself. While researching his story, I found hardly anything about the valour of this Garud who epitomises courage itself…there were Infact wrong accounts of his final battle … a bravery that saved countless lives. Based on the conversations with his comrades who were there fighting beside him read this Untold story in my book Wings of Valour & please pass it to your children as well. #soldierstory Standing for a Soldier:A Ray of Hope from the Delhi High Court in the Case of Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly I write this from the gates of the esteemed Delhi High Court with immense gratitude, as after an arduous 14 months I have finally reached the light at the end of the dark tunnel. I have just exited the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, where my writ petition regarding my brother Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly was heard in open court. Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sachin Datta issued notice in my petition & directed the Government to file a status report. Justice Datta also appointed a nodal officer for coordinating all assistance & facilitating contact in the matter of my brother Major (Retd) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, Veteran Indian Army, Infantry, 3 Para, Special Forces, who has been a victim of an enforced disappearance for 9 months followed by detainment. You fought for us, bhai, now it’s time for us to stand behind you For one year I have searched for answers for you. Now I continue my prayers to our respected government to fight for you, to bring you back safely. My government, the only entity I trust, is the Government of India, & I know they will do everything to protect this 4th-generation soldier, son, grandson & great-grandson of war veterans, who has given his everything, his entire youth, in the service of our nation, holder of the COAS Commendation for Gallantry. Indian soldiers abroad continue to be targeted for reasons unknown, I pray to my government for their help & protection for our defenders I continue to stand with my brother & for myself as I navigate this test that God has put our way At this time I will not be able to answer any questions from members of the media or press. They may kindly contact the leading counsel on all my cases from India, Mr. Raghav Kacker, Kacker & Co., who is leading & assisting me in navigating these very challenging times. High Court hearing led by Advocate Raghav Kacker as arguing counsel Special advisory Mr. Suradhish Vats (before he joined Trilegal) Advocates for Petitioner Mr. Ribhav Pande, Mr. Madhav Aggarwal & Mr. Aayush Shukla. This image presents a comparative timeline of some of the oldest known writing systems in human history, arranged by estimated date of origin and geographical origin. While visually informative, the image simplifies some complex scholarly issues. For instance, the chronology of the Indus Valley script remains debated due to the lack of a fully deciphered corpus. The “Cretan Script” label is also vague, likely referring to Linear A, which remains undeciphered, or Cretan Hieroglyphs, which are distinct. Additionally, Chinese writing developed over a long continuum and may have earlier origins than presented. Dates are approximations and should be treated with caution, as new archaeological discoveries continue to refine our understanding. Nonetheless, the image gives a helpful overview of how writing independently emerged across various civilizations. #archaeohistories

🔥 Urgent appeal for Justice 🔥 I am Ramkaran Singh, Snr citizen, Retired Indian Navy living in Navi Mumbai & have been cheated by 2 individuals of Varanasi by criminal conspiracy, serious fraud via deceptive marriage. It has caused extreme financial loss and social prestige damage to me, my family. Inspite of submitting my new signed complaints on 20 & 25 Oct 2025 at DIG, ACP Rohaniya office (Complaint Register number 440 at MunduaDhih Police station), FIR is not being registered by Varanasi Police MunduaDhih. Moreover, the investigation report submitted on Jansunwai 20019725025355 is totally biased and false. The accused are putting extreme pressure to silence my voice and we are NOT getting any help from Varanasi police. It's a cry for help and justice, if anyone can please help. My son's life is in extreme danger similar to current incidents like - Sonam Raja Raghuwansi, Muskan Saurabh Rajput etc. @varanasipolice @CMOfficeUP @myogiadityanath @PMOIndia @BJP4India @VnsDcp @VnsDig @ACPRohaniyaVNS @UMahilaayog @Maha_MahilaAyog

Champions of the World 💙🇮🇳 I’ve seen this dream for over two decades, to watch the Indian women lift that World Cup trophy. Tonight, that dream finally came true. From the heartbreak of 2005 to the fight of 2017, every tear, every sacrifice, every young girl who picked up a bat believing we belong here, it all led to this moment. To the new champions of world cricket, you didn’t just win a trophy, you won every heart that ever beat for Indian women’s cricket. Jai Hind 🇮🇳

Nani Gopal, a revolutionary in Bengal in the 1902s had to flee Calcutta to avoid the British police and came to the US, where he took a job as a salesman & married an American schoolteacher His son, young Amar supplemented his family income by repairing radios. “We put up signs in all the little hardware stores where my father used to sell his imported goods,” The signs said, ‘We repair radios. So people would drop off their radios at the store and I’d take them home and repair them, and we’d give the store 10% of the invoice. I had a little pact with my father that if my grades remained good, I could go to school only four days a week and he would write an excuse saying I had a headache or something.” The teachers all knew this; it was always on a Friday and so on Monday, they’d ask me, ‘How many radios did you fix, Bose?’” Amar Gopal Bose went on to study at MIT & after he graduated and joined MIT as a professor in 1964, his mentor Y W Lee advised him to start his own electronics company. Lee said about the name “...we don’t want to be tied to a specific technology or industry because we don’t know what we’ll do in the future. The name should be pronounceable in many different languages and easy to trademark. And ideally, it’s one syllable.” Everyone laughed because they knew what he was suggesting without saying it: “Bose.” Bose started his company focussing mainly on high end products for the military. His noise cancelling headphones were originally designed for army use. Soon his audio products were making waves. Today, Bose has revenues of over $3 billion, and before he passed in 2013, Amar Gopal Bose donated a majority of his shares to his beloved MIT to help sustain their research. And it all started with one revolutionary in Bengal! Amar Gopal Bose, born on this day in 1929.
