Today, the 14th of October, the Directorate Of State of the Indigenous People of Biafra join the people and government of Tanzania to celebrate a great African sage. Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere was among the few voices that spoke up and condemned the 1967-1970 Genocide being committed against the Biafran people by the then Nigerian and British governments. Julie's Nyerere did not just speak up he recognised the right of the Biafran people to live in freedom as a people who have a right to an independent Sovereign Biafran Nation. Thank you Sir @EjioforBar 12 BIAFRAN INMATES REGAIN FREEDOM AFTER NEARLY FOUR YEARS IN DETENTION: Freedom Long Denied, Finally Restored!!! History was made today, April 10, 2025, at the Ebonyi State High Court, as 12 Biafran inmates - part of a group of 36 held since May 24, 2021 - were finally set free in compliance with successive court orders discharging and acquitting them of all charges. This victory follows a formal application by the Ebonyi State Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), who, in acknowledgement of repeated judicial pronouncements, withdrew the latest charge filed against these 12 individuals. It marked a long-overdue respect for the rule of law and a reaffirmation of their innocence, which courts had upheld time and again. In line with the court’s directive, I personally ensured the handover of the released individuals, an order promptly complied with by the prison authorities. Our legal team remains relentless and fully committed to securing the freedom of the remaining detainees - men who have also been discharged and acquitted by no fewer than four different High Courts in Ebonyi State. Their release is no longer a matter of if but when, and that moment draws closer by the day. Justice may be delayed, but it shall not be denied. One boat is carrying IPOB leadership, and the other is carrying Elochukwu Ohagi. And people can only save one boat. The boat they will save is the one carrying IPOB leadership. The reason is that this is a movement and the leadership of that movement is more important than any other person. This was the reason why we gave everything to defend this leadership. Even when misunderstood we kept doing that. This leadership is important both for the freedom of Biafra and that of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. It will be a disaster for the movement if the leadership is no more. But the struggle can move on without Elochukwu Ohagi. Do you now understand it? It is about priority. You might be right, but the leadership must be protected. If you present yourself for us to choose between you and the leadership, we will disappoint you and go with the leadership. And make no mistake about it. Members of the leadership are not perfect, yet they are protected. Please no one should present himself in comparison with the leadership. If there is a problem and you chose me against the leadership or IPOB leader, then you don't know what you are doing. You can be offended in this struggle, but how you go about it might make people stand against you. Know when to remain calm. Know when to stop the wăr. And allow time to vindictive you.
