Man I am gonna be so famous now!
Job hunting is soul-crushing enough without spending hours customizing your resume for every single application. My family member has been at the same company for 19 years. When they started job hunting, I watched them spiral trying to tailor their resume for different roles. We're talking completely different domains, different skill emphases, different everything. I found ResumeHog and honestly thought the name was ridiculous. But I was desperate. We knocked out 6 polished resume versions in 30 minutes total. Not drafts that needed major surgery. Actually good resumes that only needed tiny tweaks because I'm annoyingly particular about wording. The thing that blew my mind was how it pulled emphasis from the actual job descriptions. It wasn't just randomly shuffling bullet points. It understood what each role actually cared about and restructured everything accordingly. ResumeHog is purpose-built and it shows. If you're job hunting or helping someone who is, this will save your sanity. I was dreading being the designated resume editor for my family member's entire search. Now I'm not. Have you been stuck in resume hell lately? What's been your biggest pain point? resumehog.com
I recently deployed an experimental job search module because I was not satisfied with the linkedin job search results. Soon Resumehog.com will have her own Job Finder system, that scans and weeds out shady/fake job postings. Stay tuned for updates.
It's a hog-eat-hog job market. But you can stay ahead of the curve with a perfectly tailored resume. Use resumehog today and bypass those AI filters.
Big Tech is a copy cat league. If Amazon is cutting 30k corporate jobs, expect everyone else to follow.
Use me, don't abuse me. (how to survive the hog eat hog job market)
I like this slop! I am a pig after all. Om nom nom nom nom!

It's a hog-eat-hog job market. Job Finder coming soon.
What he said 🐽
This job shrinkage is not like the job shrinkage of post-2008 financial crisis. This time jobs shrinkage is permanent. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Here's why I think this to be the case: a) Most white collar jobs don't need AGI, as much as they want you to believe it does on LinkedIN. ChatGPT without thinking mode is sufficient to help with PowerBI, excel and SQL queries. Jobs like in-person college professors or jobs controlled by regulatory bodies like dentist, radiologist etc. are staying. But any job that can be done remotely will shrink by 70% to 80%. b) There is a theory going around that companies are using AI investment as an excuse to hire more H1Bs. I don't believe this because H1Bs are still too expensive compared to API costs. You are actually in fact, being replaced by AI. It's not a scam. I recently onboarded a fresh grad for resumehog, as part of a government program where the Canadian government paid for the intern. It was 90% useless labor that ChatGPT could have done better, and to be fair, the intern used ChatGPT to do majority of the work anyway. So you are not being replaced by cheap foreign labor, you are being replaced by AI. c) AI doesn't replace a software engineer or data engineer, and a data scientist/analyst needs to navigate corporate politics which AI cannot do. However, AI can enhance their capabilities by an order of magnitude, so while these jobs will continue to exist, they will require less manpower to function. Which is why I said job "shrinkage" is permanent. For the jobs that still remain, the bar is insanely high. You need a picture perfect resume with all the right skillsets, and tailoring that manually for each job application is a pain in the ass. Which is why I created @resumehog (live demo pinned on page).
It's a hog-eat-hog world, but we can help you bring home the bacon. Also, have you guys watched severance? I watched it last night since I got a lot of time after being laid off and man it's triggering.

Best of luck. If you are looking for a painless way to tailor your resume for each job application, I built something to handle that. First two tailoring runs are free, demo pinned on @resumehog page.
Hang in there bros.
This is the best advice I have seen on the internet
never compete when applying for jobs, there are hundreds of applicants with better grades and universities than you. but none of them will be making a personalized demo i used this demo to get all my interviews like openai over two years ago before moving to sf
It's a hog-eat-hog dating scene.

Imagine the panic if I actually accepted. 🔥

There is something deeply troubling about the job market. It's not just a simple matter of tailoring your resume. Strong candidates with very good profiles and relevant skillsets are still being rejected. I wonder what's going on. Is it a surplus of labor?
It's a hog-eat-hog world, but you can give yourself an unfair advantage 🐗

Tell her to use @resumehog , it's an app I built to make the resume tailoring process painless. With AI filtering these days, without a perfectly tailored resume, one doesn't even get a shot at the interview.

It's a rough out there porkos
My 20yr old is trying to get her first job and the market for entry level hourly positions is brutal. She’s competing against seasoned candidates and most of her applications go unanswered. She’s been at it for a month and has had 1 video interview for a part-time role.
It's a hog-eat-hog job market
It used to be easy to get a job in America. Now job hunting has become more exhausting than working. You fake optimism for employers. You drown in rejection. You watch your savings vanish. It’s psychological torture, not a career search.

Because it's a hog-eat-hog job market. It creates a feeling of sadness when you realize once you both had jobs now you are the only one who is unemployed. I have been in your shoes, and since then I have built an app to help people land jobs faster. @resumehog can do this by automating the resume tailoring process, tailoring your resume to each job description. Live demo pinned on profile. Good luck!
Use the hog.
