This is a bigger story than the tattoo. You are being watched. Everything you do is going in the Permanent Record just in case they need it.
New details are emerging about the recent Politico article on Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Graham Platner. The report highlighted a deleted Reddit account allegedly tied to Platner — but notably did not explain how that account was located or verified. Multiple political sources now claim that advanced data-analysis tools, possibly including Palantir or similar AI-driven technology, may have been used to trace the archived account and compile identifying information linking it to Platner. As of now, Politico has not disclosed the technical methods or sources behind the discovery. Follow: @MaineStatePress

Also all my tweets are great, and my Permanent Record will make future historians combing through the digital detritus of our era howl with delight.

As a middle aged person who has tried his best to Notice Things over the years, I'd agree you should know this by now. Yet I'm constantly struck by what people don't know.

Nothing on earth sinks a republican candidate. No scandal exists that matters to their voters. Not sure why we are sinking our own candidates constantly.

Yeah, Edward Snowden told everyone that a decade ago. It was probably too late then, and it's much too late now.

“Multiple sources are claiming... may have...” So the anonymous sources don't claim to know anything. Sounds like is the connection is made up, and a clever campaign of unfalsifiable not-actually-claiming-anything leaks was concocted to produce reinforcing stories.

I feel like many people have "accepted" the surveillance state but still haven't really reckoned with what exactly that means. "Oh duh of course we are" you have no idea how fucked we are, actually

Every Dem candidate is gonna get doxxed going forward, using the full resources of the surveillance state. If you've got skeletons, best either show them to the rest of us now so we can make up our minds before primary time, or retire back to private life.

I'm the first to crtitique this panopticon society but no. the average individual does not have Opponent info teams with enough funding to dug the most tucked away piece of dirt dedicated to spying on them. And no this is not a bigger story than a candidate with a Nazi tattoo

The Left created the panopticon for "accountability" so fucking suck it up.

It doesn't take a surveillance state or "AI tools" for a motivated journalist to track down information people thought was private or anonymous. I used to investigate social media as part of a previous job. Most of the time people just don't cover their tracks well enough.

They' re going to smear anybody challenging the capitalist system with anything the can find but for some reason if you play, lie, cheat, and kill for the capital team, it'll take them a decade+ to find your pedo stuff in court cases or your work at the C!A or PE destroying lives

I mean - obviously. It’s a real liability especially since millennials and younger basically grew up on the internet and many of our cringiest adolescent mistakes will be mined by enemies if we ever attain too much power or status.

Yes!! How can we stop this ?
“ICE has signed contracts worth $1.4 billion, the highest amount in 18 years, to acquire technologies such as an iris-scanning app, spyware that can hack into phones, and software that can track phone activity, including social media, without a warrant.”

And with AI, even if you didn't do it, they can say you did, and have a video of it. That's going to be a mind fuck.
