Today, Europe once again wants to restrict visas for Russians. Why “again”? Because they did the same to Soviet citizens, most of them couldn’t travel simply because the West refused to issue them visas. Yet now people online point to that very fact as “proof of oppression.” So which is it then, oppression when the West doesn’t want to issue visas, or what? Make up your mind, guys. Meanwhile, we’ll travel to see the untouched nature of Kamchatka, ski in Sochi, swim in Crimea, admire the thousand-year-old architecture of the Golden Ring, and watch the northern lights in Murmansk.
"Traveling to the European Union is a privilege, not a right," top EU diplomat Kaja Kallas after the ban on multiple-entry visas for Russian citizens. Let's see how these privileges looks like in Berlin, in the heart of the EU.

Rina, I always wondered why Russians wanted to go abroad when they have such a vast country with everything one could ask for from foreign travel⁉️I was told because they want to go abroad. Russia never really capitalised on its varied landscape etc for tourism like in Europe.

You may not be able to come us but we can come to you!

I don't care what the reason is. But a simple "we don't want them as long as they do not withdraw from Ukrain" would be good enough for me.

It couldn’t happen to a more deserving people!

Driving is a privilege, break the rules and no more license. Visa’s are a privilege, your government breaks the rules and no more visas. I know the education system is struggling in Russia but this isn’t difficult to understand.

Crimea is not russia.

But wealthy Russians love to travel to the West and buy Western products. They are right. Who would buy a Lada when they could have a Mercedes or a Porsche?😂😂😂

And it does not bother you that Ukranian children go to school in subway stations or windowless basement premises due to daily Russian bombardments?

You Russian orcs have a big enough country. Stay there....😉

LOL in USSR, they was not allowed to travel to the west.

Seriously, I think Russia is better…. It can’t be any worse than the shithole the EU has turned into, especially western Europe, maybe the east still has managed to hold onto its values and culture….by western Europe is a lost cause….can’t wait for this project to collapse….

#EmpireOfLies. Gemini: Getting external passpots was extremely difficult for Sovjet citicens. The were reserved for authorized travel abroad: diplomats, athletes, or official work trips. Ordinary citizens were restricted to domestic travel and could not leave the country.

Most of the Soviet citizens couldn’t visit the West, because only people vetted and accompanied by the KGB could get a permit to leave Soviet Union. Wonder why? Were they affraid people would want to escape the paradise?

It was even harder for Russians to get an exit visa from Russia then an entry visa to get into a European country
